Abstract

A plethora of pathologies can cause bone destruction. These include trauma, neoplasms, and infection. Infections are great mimickers of tumours. It's well known that during osseous lesion biopsy, samples should be sent for histology and microbiology. We present a rare case of intraosseous hydatid cyst in a 56-year-old male and review the literature.
